Horses that do not comply with veterinary care can be dangerous and frequently result in a stressful experience for everyone involved.

This talk will explore how we can use an understanding of learning theory to quickly and easily train horses to be calm and compliant. It will also incorporate the findings in Gemma’s PhD thesis to demonstrate how little tweaks to how cases are managed can result in big improvements to their behaviour using a marginal gains approach.

Lots of videos of real cases will be used to demonstrate this approach.
