Veterinary acupuncture has become more popular in recent years, as a mean to add pain relief, improve mobility and provide holistic treatments to animals. This is still a debated therapy which raises eyebrows, if not totally dismissed by its detractors, whereas some vets are very found advocates of the technique. We will discuss about the history of acupuncture, what it is, how it works and who can benefit from treatment, to give the audience a basic understanding of acupuncture and how to incorporate it in the rehabilitation plan.
