As a team leader you will undoubtedly perform regular performance reviews with your practice teams, but are you getting the very best out of them? They are often seen as daunting to hold, and for the person being ‘appraised’, at worst, something to dread! In this session we will talk about how we can turn them into a positive, nurturing process, that empowers team members to develop, and offers the practice with opportunities to get the very best from the team member’s individual strengths. You will be encouraged to consider your practice’s long-term goals, and how you can build a team that supports this vision. The overarching strategy is to create an ethos and culture of ‘team-based veterinary healthcare’ delivery, and how the reviews that you hold with your team can help you work towards this goal.
